Rei means spirit, soul, divine, and sacred. Ki means life force energy. Reiki is a gentle yet powerful healing modality that can be traced back to ancient Tibet but rediscovered in the mid 1800's by Dr. Mikao Usui. 

The Reiki Practitioner channels the reiki to the client through hand positioning much like "laying on of the hands" or directly over the body. The light then flows directly from the practitioner to the client and goes exactly where it's needed the most. 

It works within the physical, mental, and emotional realms of the receiver to bring about healing. It balances the whole person and works both on the physical body and etheric body. These two bodies are interconnected. Balancing the chakras with reiki has a direct effect on the endocrine system. Each chakra is connected to a gland, organ, and body part.

Most receivers feel a sense of peace and calm as they receive the reiki. Many also sensations such as warmth and tingling from the practitioners hand and in their body. Some people have beautiful visuals during their session. How one perceives the reiki is going to be very individual to their experience. 

Anyone can receive reiki. It doesn't interfere with medical procedures or have any contraindications. It has been known to speed up recovery of surgery and illness. It is a soothing treatment for end of life care. It helps to relieve suffering on all levels while also supporting one take active responsibility towards their life. Because it's not connected to time or space it can also be received from a distance.

What does a session look like?  A session usually lasts about an hour, 75, or 90 minutes depending on which option you book. Each session starts with a brief health intake. From there you will transition to lying on the massage table, get comfortable, and receive the reiki. I will state a brief prayer then I will place my hands on or above your body as you relax deeply into your body. I usually work in silence unless you prefer to talk or need extra help relaxing into the session. You may also be quided through a quided meditation to facilate release or integration. You will stay completely clothed during your session. If you prefer to sit in a chair because you can't lay down that is welcomed as well. I do bedside sessions in end of life care. Will I receive a psychic reading with my reiki session?  First off, I do not give psychic readings however I do work from my intuition and with angels, and spirit guides and sometimes messages come through. 

It is true that many practitiors connect with a more intuitive side of themself when channeling reiki. It's a natural part of reiki and a beautiful benefit. I understand that not everyone wants to receive a reading from their reiki session. The amazing benefits of reiki come directly from the light and that really is all that is needed in a session. I whole heartedly trust the reiki just as it is in it's purest form. I also respect psychic boundaries towards your personal wishes. My sessions stay true to channeling Reiki from the Usui Linage. I do include intuitive energy readings if they come through with permission and there has been an understanding about this before the session.

One on One and Group Reiki Class are in person. I will come to your group event or reach out to me for individual one on one Reiki Training.
